Product update: Digital Assistant – now integrated with Zapier

Streamlining your tech stack is no longer a nice-to-have, with so many priorities on the ecommerce marketing manager, it is a must-have. Our latest product update makes this possible, as we go the extra mile to create effortless experiences for brands and their customers.

Digital Assistant is now integrated with Zapier, something we alluded to in our product round up last year. This new update allows you to move data between your web apps automatically, so you can focus on your most important work.

What is Zapier?

Zapier allows you to quickly and easily integrate the apps you use daily. By connecting your apps together via a Zapier subscription, you can get them talking to each other - sending data between applications in real time.

Why integrate with Zapier?

In one word: Automation.

Using the Zapier integration, you can automatically push the email addresses you collect in your website’s Digital Assistant to a third-party tool – such as HubSpot, MailChimp, Klaviyo or Salesforce.

Email addresses are registered in your CRM in real time, so you can instantly subscribe customers to your newsletter and fire ‘welcome’ emails or discount codes as soon as the email address is captured.

Manually entering data from the Digital Assistant or using your data across web apps can become boring, time consuming and prone to human error

The Zapier integration with the Digital Assistant automates this process, making data transfer a task you don’t need to think about. If you have a complicated tech stack, this is important because it means you can focus on what you are there to do – build effortless experiences for your customers.

Before your start, some important tips

There are some important things you will need to do before you use the integration. It’s a simple set up process and by the time you see the Zapier integration do its work, the setup will seem a distant memory.

To use the Zapier integration, you will need:

  1. To check the third party tool you wish to push email addresses to is supported by Zapier. You can find a list of supported tools here.
  2. A Zapier account. If your organisation already has an account, you’re good to go. Otherwise, you can find pricing information here.
  3. An Email Subscription scenario live in your Digital Assistant.
