Unsurprisingly, consumers across Europe are moving their buying online at an accelerating pace—with some notable exceptions.
Germany, Denmark and Belgium all show a very similar pattern—a slight dip in online purchases in the week leading up to a national closures announcement. Compare with Sweden and the UK who have either just announced restriction plans, the UK, or have no official restrictions in place yet, Sweden.
